Turkic leaders call for immediate ceasefire in Lebanon, global Palestine recognition

The leaders of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on Wednesday adopted a declaration calling for an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon.

The declaration came after the 11th Summit of the Heads of State of the OTS, held in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek.

Erdoğan urges Turkic states to increase pressure on Israel

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has described Israel as a threat to the global system and called on the Turkic states to raise pressure on it.

"It is extremely important for us, the Turkic world, to maintain our efforts for a lasting and fair solution of the Palestinian issue," Erdoğan said at a press conference with Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov on Nov. 5 in Bishkek.

Kyrgyzstan orders Turkey’s Bayraktar TB2 drones

Kyrgyzstan's president said on Oct. 23 that his country will purchase unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) from both Turkey and Russia.

"We're not buying drones to go to war with someone. We will buy drones to ensure the country's security," Sadyr Japarov said in his first annual press conference in the capital Bishkek, after assuming the post at the beginning of 2021.

World extends condolences over deadly floods in Turkey

Turkey on Aug. 13 received condolence messages from around the world because of deadly floods in the Black Sea region that have claimed dozens of lives.

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov extended his condolences to his Turkish counterpart, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, for the natural disaster, according to the Presidential Press Center.

FETÖ threatens national security of Turkey, Kyrgyzstan: Erdoğan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on June 9 stressed the importance of the fight against the FETÖ by Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.
"Recent events have once again revealed the bloody, dark, and ugly face of FETÖ. I hope we will overcome this threat together by standing shoulder to shoulder," Erdoğan said at a joint news conference with his counterpart from Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.
