Wanted Paris suspect Abdeslam has not been arrested: Belgian public broadcaster

Belgian public broadcaster RTBF said on Nov. 16 that police had detained a person during a raid in the Brussels district of Molenbeek, but that it was not wanted Paris suspect Salah Abdeslam.

Earlier, broadcaster RTL said Abdeslam, a Frenchman wanted in connection with the Paris attacks, had been arrested. 

Officials were not immediately available for comment.

Belgium jihad suspect agrees to be extradited: Greek justice source

A 33-year-old Algerian man with suspected links to the jihadist cell dismantled by Belgian security forces last week agreed on Jan. 20 to be extradited from Greece, a justice source said.
      
The suspect "wants to prove his innocence" and a Greek prosecutor has also agreed to meet Belgium's request for the extradition, the source said.        

No link to Belgian attack plot from those detained in Greece, says police

Greece said it had found no evidence linking people they detained for questioning on Saturday to a foiled Islamist plot to attack Belgian police.

Greek police detained over a half dozen people and were sending DNA samples to Belgian counterparts. Belgian state broadcasters said authorities were seeking a Brussels man of Moroccan origin who was hiding in Greece.

No link between Greece arrests and Belgium jihadists: Belgian prosecutor

No link has been established between at least four people arrested by Greek anti-terrorism police and a jihadist cell broken up this week in Belgium, the Belgian prosecutor's office said Jan. 18.
     
"There is no connection between these people and the enquiry" in Belgium, Eric Van Der Sypt, spokesman for the federal prosecutor's office, said.
