Salamander

The Postojna Cave welcomed new olm offspring last year after witnessing the blind cave salamander (Proteus anguinus) reproduce "in the wild" for the first time in 2016. Now it has launched a special project to take care of what are a total of 57 baby dragons.

A spotted salamander, which is under danger of extinction, has been found by a local in the eastern province of Malatya's Ye?iltyurt district. 

Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks Malatya Provincial Director Abdullah Koç said the spotted salamander had been found by a local and delivered to them.
