Bulgaria experienced a remarkable surge in winter tourism from December 1, 2023, to March 25, 2024, with a total of 1.8 million tourist check-ins recorded across the country. Among these, Bulgarian tourists dominated the scene, comprising 1.3 million of the total arrivals.

Two teams of the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) were able to reach the Ukrainian tourist who got injured near Malyovitsa Peak, Ivan Dragushinov of MRS told Focus Radio.

The Bulgarian women's national volleyball team achieved a victory in the opening round of Group 2's Pool M of the FIVB World Grand Prix.

Bulgaria defeated Croatia 3-2 (25-18, 23-25, 21-25, 25-22, 15-12) on Friday and at present occupies the first place in Pool M.
