Turkish warships on manoeuvers in the Mediterranean Sea have blocked a rig belonging to the Italian energy firm ENI from reaching an area off Turkish Cyprus to start searching for gas, officials said Feb. 10.
Oil pipeline attacked in eastern Turkey
The Kirkuk-Ceyhan oil pipeline has been attacked in the eastern province of ??rnak, Turkish Energy Taner Y?ld?z said on July 29, as reported by Anadolu Agency.
In a statement released by the Energy Ministry, Y?ld?z said the suspected sabotage bombing took place 18 kilometers inside the Cizre district of ??rnak province, next to the border with Iraq.

Russia Expresses Readiness to Renew Talks on Burgas-Alexandroupoli Pipeline
Russia expressed readiness to renew negotiations on the construction of the planned oil pipeline between the Bulgarian Black Sea city of Burgas and the Greek Aegean Sea port of Alexandroupoli.
This was announced by Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Friday, TASS news agency informs.
