The US IT giant Google has massive expansion plans. Parent company Alphabet intends to buy a large tract of land from the city of San Jose to build a campus with at least 140 acres (60 hectares) of space for offices and worker housing.

Because of their top secret status, about 10,000 reels of film recording the 210 above-ground nuclear tests conducted by the United States between 1945 and 1962 were allowed to rot in high-security vaults across the country.

The last section of the mammoth ?zmit Bay Bridge, a key part of the Gebze-Orhangazi-?zmir Highway Project which will shorten the travel time between Istanbul and the Aegean city of ?zmir dramatically, was mounted in an official ceremony on April 21. 

President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an and Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu attended the ceremony and mounted the last section of the bridge.  

Alphabet Inc's Google said on Feb. 29 it bears "some responsibility" after one of its self-driving cars struck a municipal bus in a minor crash earlier this month.
