Street food vendors up in arms over possible EU kebab ban
The döner kebab, that grilled fast-food sandwich which is the gastronomic equivalent of an American hamburger in many European cities, is under fire.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel cut and ate the iconic Turkish döner kebab at an event in the capital Berlin on June 27, Turkey's state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
Merkel was participating in a festival hosted by the Association of Medium-sized Enterprises, during which she visited a Turkish döner producer's stand.

Street Food Festival | Athens | May 5-21
The Athens Street Food Festival is returning for a second outing this year, in which a wide variety of mouthwatering street food will be showcased at the Palio Amaksostasio in Gazi over the course of three three-day weekends in May (May 5-7, 12-14 and 19-21). Festival-goers will be welcome to try delicious food not only from various regions around Greece, but also around the world.

Would you eat a Nutella-filled kebab? (pics)
A Sydney dessert bar has introduced a saccharin equivalent of the doner kebab, complete with a rotating white and milk chocolate rotisserie, which is shaved as it spins.
Dulwich Hill’s Tella Balls Dessert Bar, which is best known for their over-the-top doughnut-topped tella ball milkshakes, is calling their new creation the “tellabab”.
