Archaeologists have Discovered a Statue of God Osiris in an Ancient Egyptian Pyramid
Mostafa el-Waziri, the head of the Supreme Council of Antiquities in Egypt has announced an amazing discovery, one which is exciting and intriguing the experts. During routine restoration work on the pyramid of Djoser in Saqqara, archaeologists discovered a precious and important statuette. The statue depicts Osiris one of the most important of all Egyptian gods .
Remains of ancient pyramid found in Egypt
The remains of an Egyptian pyramid built around 3,700 years ago have been discovered near the well-known "bent pyramid" of King Snefru, the antiquities ministry announced on April 3.
The pyramid from the 13th dynasty was found in Dahshur's royal necropolis, some 30 kilometers south of Cairo, it said.
