Athens taxi drivers to strike on Monday
Athens taxi drivers will be off the streets on Monday, according to an announcement from their union, SATA.
The 24-hour strike will begin at 5 a.m. on Monday and end at 5 a.m. on Tuesday.
SATA is protesting new tax and insurance laws, as well as the planned transition to electric vehicles starting in 2026, which taxi drivers say will threaten their profession.

No taxis in Athens on Monday
Athens taxi drivers will pull off the capital's streets on Monday, their union, their union SATA has said.
The 24-hour strike will start at 6 a.m. and will end at the same time on Tuesday.
SATA is opposed to the new tax and insurance laws and the transition to electric cars from 2026.

Attica is without taxis today – Rally of SATA at 9:30
Without taxi until 6am on Friday morning, Attica will be without a taxi after SATA decided to go on a 24-hour strike from 6am today.
As part of the strike, taxi owners are calling for a gathering with their vehicles at 9:30am at the junction of Spyrou Patsis and Kavala Avenue.
No taxis in Athens on Thursday
Athens taxi drivers will pull off the capital's streets on Thursday, their union, SATA said. The strike started at 6 a.m. and will end at the same time on Friday.
Taxi drivers will hold a protest rally at the Transport Ministry starting on Spyrou Patsi & Athinon Avenue near the city center at 9.30 a.m.

Cabs plan stoppage on Thursday, 24-hr strike next week
Athens taxi drivers will be pulling off the capital's streets for seven hours on Thursday and all day on Wednesday, November 22, their union, SATA, announced on Tuesday.
