Saudi Arabian-led intervention in Yemen

Turkish humanitarian agencies on Nov. 22 launched a joint aid campaign for people in Yemen.       

After Human Rights Watch on Sunday appealed for a stop to weapons exports to Saudi Arabia following last month's airstrike in Yemen that killed at least 26 children and wounded at least 19, new pictures show Serbian-made weapons being used in the conflict in Yemen. 

The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen admitted Saturday that "mistakes" had been made in an August air strike on Yemen that killed 51 people including 40 children.

Forty children were among 51 people killed in a Saudi-led coalition air strike on a bus in rebel-held northern Yemen, the Red Cross said in a new toll Tuesday.

ADEN (Reuters) - Saudi-led coalition air strikes on Thursday killed dozens of people, including children travelling on a bus through a market, in Yemen's Saada province, a Yemeni health official and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said.

At least 20 people were killed and 40 others wounded in an air raid on a wedding party in Yemen, rescue teams told AFP on Monday (Apr 23).

Huthi rebels who control most of northern Yemen blamed the Sunday attack on a Saudi-led Arab coalition that backs the country's government.

Air strikes by a Saudi-led military coalition killed at least 20 people attending a wedding in a village in northwestern Yemen late on April 22, residents and medical sources said.

Norway has suspended exports of munitions and arms to the United Arab Emirates, saying it was "an expression of a strict precautionary line" and was based on "a comprehensive assessment of the situation in Yemen" where a Saudi-led coalition has been fighting Shiite rebels for three years, The Washington Post reported.

The UAE is part of the coalition.

The number of suspected cholera cases in Yemen has hit 1 million with more than 80 percent of the population lacking food, fuel, clean water and access to healthcare in the country's civil war, the International Committee of the Red Cross said on Thursday.
