Turkey remembers victims of 1942 refugee ship disaster
Turkey on Feb. 24 marked the anniversary of 1942 Struma disaster, which killed hundreds of people when a vessel carrying Jewish refugees was torpedoed by a Soviet submarine in the Black Sea.
In a statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said commemoration ceremonies have been annually held in Istanbul's Sarayburnu district on Feb. 24 since 2015.
The Body of a Fisherman was Found in Struma River
A fisherman's body was found in Struma river near the village of Cherniche. A signal was filed at 10.30 am, Yordanka Sharkova, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Interior, Blagoevgrad, told BTA.
Together with another man they were on night fishing.
The drowned man is from Dupnitsa.
On-site investigations are carried out to clarify the causes of the incident.

An official ceremony was held on Feb. 24 to commemorate the victims of the 1942 Struma incident, a World War II tragedy that resulted in the death of over 750 Romanian Jews after their ship was sunk by a Soviet submarine after it had been forced to remain docked for two months in Istanbul.

Turkey has issued a commemoration message the first time ever for the Struma tragedy, in which 764 Jews died in the Black Sea while trying to escaping the Holocaust.
Greenpeace's Rainbow Warrior docked in southern Athens
The Rainbow Warrior, the yacht used by environmental group Greenpeace, is currently docked at Flisvos Marina in southern Athens.
Members of the group are conducting free guided tours of what is thought to be one of the greenest ships in the world.
People can visit the vessel from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today or between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and 4 and 8 p.m. on Sunday.
