Serbia's Red Star to snub Turkey "out of respect for Russia"
Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) FC from Belgrade is considering dropping Turkey as the destination for the club's winter preparations, it has been confirmed.
Croatian and Serbian fans clash in Greece
Supporters of Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) from Belgrade and Dinamo from Zagreb have clashed in Athens, Greece's ANA agency is reporting.
The supporters of the Serb and Croat football teams clashed at the Athens International Airport on Thursday, leaving at least six injured and taken to hospital, and 36 detained.

Turkish man sentenced to 25 years for murdering Serbian fan
Kadri Aktas, a Turkish man accused of murdering a Serbian basketball fan in Istanbul last year, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Marko Ivkovic, a fan of Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) Belgrade, was murdered ahead of a basketball game the club played against Galatasaray Istanbul.
Red Star FC general director resigns
General Director of Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) football club Zvezdan Terzic has submitted his irrevocable resignation.
This adds up to four members of the club's management leaving in just one day - six in the past two days.

Hand grenade found at Red Star stadium
A hand grenade has been discovered on the roof above the northern stand of the Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) stadium in Belgrade, B92 has learned.
A source said that this was "most likely an old bomb," and that it was found during regular checks of the venue ahead of the game this evening between Red Star Belgrade and Kairat Almaty.

Basketball: Red Star win championship after 17 years
The Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) basketball club has won the Serbian championship after defeating city rivals Partizan in the third match of the playoff series.
The Belgrade-based club won 58-54 (18-17, 10-20, 18-7, 12-10) in the game played late on Thursday.

ZAGREB -- Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) Telekom basketball club from Belgrade has won the Adriatic League.
The Serbian team won the title after defeating home side Cedevita in Zagreb, Croatia, late on Thursday - 89-79 (30-25, 22-10, 17-23, 20-21) in Game 4 of the final series.

Crvena Zvezda wins Adriatic League
ZAGREB - Crvena Zvezda Telekom has been crowned the champion of the Adriatic League after overcoming host Cedevita 89-79 (30-25, 22-10, 17-23, 20-21) in Game 4 of the finals series late Thursday.
Belgrade's Zvezda won the series against the Zagreb-based team 3-1 and won the regional trophy for the first time in the history of the club.

Stojkovic decorated in Japan
TOKYO - Serbian former football player Dragan Stojkovic has been decorated with the Order of the Rising Sun, the Japanese government stated on Wednesday.
Stojkovic is among more than 50 recipients of this decoration from Japan and Serbia, who were selected for their contribution to the relations between the two countries.

Zvezda goes to Zagreb with 2-0 lead
BELGRADE - The Crvena Zvezda basketball team defeated its rival Cedevita in Belgrade on Sunday evening, clinching a 69-65 victory (22-8, 18-24, 18-16, 11-17), and thus upping its lead to 2-0 in the finals of the ABA League playoffs.
Zvezda is now just one step away from triumphing in this regional tournament. Zvezda will next travel to Zagreb to face Cedevita in its home town.
