Measures to support the entrepreneurs of the municipalities of Volo and South Pelion who were adversely affected by the extreme phenomenon of dead fish in Pagasitikos Gulf were announced by the relevant ministries on Saturday, following a meeting.

The quality of bathing water at 95.8% of bathing sites in Greece is of excellent quality, based on the latest figures released by the European Environmental Agency and the European Commission on the state of Europe's bathing waters in 2023, which were updated on Tuesday.

Ljubljana – Slovenia is among the eleven EU member states where all bathing water sites, on the coast and inland, are suitable for bathing, a report on European bathing water quality for 2020 shows. Coast guard closes emblematic Greek beach after rockfall
The Greek coast guard on Friday closed a world-famous beach on the holiday island of Zakynthos after seven people were injured in a rockfall.
All vessels are banned from approaching the beach, which can only be reached by sea, and from anchoring in the bay until further notice.
73 % of Bulgaria's Bathing Waters Were of Excellent Quality in 2014
In Bulgaria, 69 out of a total of 94 bathing waters or 73.4 % were deemed as being of excellent quality in 2014.
This is shown by the 2014 report on the bathing water quality in Europe, which was issued by the European Environment Agency (EEA) on Wednesday.

Port police announces afternoon jet ski ban in Freatida, Votsalakia
