"Maritime Administration" with Surprise Inspections of the Tourist Boats
Since the beginning of the season, the inspections of the tourist boats in Varna and the region have begun, said Captain Valentin Enchev, director of the Maritime Administration. He inspected the boats in the resort of Kamchia.
60 Ships Stranded Near Belene Island
A total of 60 ships have been stranded near the Belene island because of the low water level of the Danube, announced the Maritime Administration Executive Agency.
This is the most critical area right now and there are problems with normal shipping. In order to ensure order and safety, a patrol boat has been sent to the area.

Sailing boat skipper missing in Pagasitikos Gulf
A search and rescue operation was underway on Tuesday after the captain of a sailing boat was reported missing late Monday in southern Pagasitikos Gulf in central Greece.
Coast guard was notified at 9.30 p.m. by two passengers onboard the vessel that their skipper had gone missing after diving into the water to untangle a rope.

Europa Link captain, lieutenant go free after facing prosecutor
The captain and lieutenant of the passenger ship Europa Link were released after facing a Corfu prosecutor on Monday, after the Italian-flagged vessel struck rocks northeast of the Ionian island late on Saturday under yet-to-be determined circumstances.
The ship, which was carrying 693 passengers on the Igoumenitsa-Ancona-Trieste route, suffered two cracks in the hull.
Cargo ships collide off Lesvos; no injuries, damage reported
Two foreign-flagged cargo vessels collided off the coast of the eastern Aegean island of Lesvos on Saturday.
There were no reports of injuries or damage.
