Seasonal firefighters clashed with police in Greece's Civil Protection Ministry during a protest Thursday to demand permanent positions after their contracts expire following a grueling wildfire season.

Around 24 million Algerians are poised to head to the polls tomorrow for a vote in which experts say incumbent President Abdelmadjid Tebboune faces no real risk to his rule as he seeks a second term.

In Nairobi, Kenya's capital, ongoing protests have resulted in at least 10 fatalities, according to a report by the BBC. The unrest, now entering its third day, escalated significantly today when demonstrators set fire to a section of the parliament building.

Nine protesters from Germany, Britain, France, Italy and Spain, arrested during a pro-Palestinian demonstration at the University of Athens School of Law last week are set to be deported from Greece, their lawyers said on Monday.
