The many faces of SYRIZA on stage
Stefanos Kasselakis, the leader of leftist SYRIZA, adopted a "postmodern" approach last Thursday in his appearance at the party's 4th Congress. Alone on a large stage, with a crimson backdrop and a long, narrow, Instagram-style screen, constantly broadcasting his image in a steady shot. He spoke with ease but also with some nervousness, which is rather likable in a first-timer.

Wrestlers get into dispute over flags at medal ceremony
A strange incident occurred at a medal ceremony in the southern province of Antalya when a Turkish and two Kazakh arm wrestlers tried to display their flags while standing at the podium and posing to the international media, in a somewhat battle of whose flag goes in the front.

Exhibition at Gazhane focusses on issues of urbanization

Neo-Nazis remanded outside historic Athens Polytechnic
Police in the Greek capital on Tuesday remanded three suspected neo-Nazis who were trying to hang two swastika flags at the historic Athens Polytechnic building.
According to police, the suspects were trying to attach the flags to the entrance of the university where a student uprising in 1973 helped bring down the 1967-1974 military dictatorship.
