Five people, including three children, died after a boat carrying 15 migrants sank off the coast of western Turkey on Monday, the Turkish coast guard said.

It said five others were missing and a search was underway.

The Turkish Coast Guard recovered the bodies of two undocumented migrants, rescued a third and was seeking 10 more who remained unaccounted for following the sinking of a smuggling boat off the coast of Izmir on Monday, the Athens-Macedonia news agency said.

Greek police say they have detained three migrant traffickers, a Turk and two Iraqis near the Greece-Turkey border.

The Greek Coast Guard allegedly popped an inflatable migrant boat en route to a Greek island in the Aegean Sea, according to claims by a group of Turkish fishermen, who shot video footage of the incident.

A Turkish fisherman said he saw officials from a Greek Coast Guard boat popping an inflatable boat carrying around 50 Syrian migrants off the Aegean province of ?zmir.

Syrian refugees passed through a beach club at a Turkish resort as some of the hotel guests were engaged in a yoga session on the beach. The Turkish Coast Guard has captured almost 1,800 migrants like them on the Aegean over the past four days.
