Amid Border Tensions, Kosovo Police Deny Beating Serbs
Kosovo's police inspectorate did not make clear on Friday whether or not it intends to further investigate the alleged beating by police of three ethnic Serbs near the border with Serbia, where tensions are high amid continuing protests parked by a dispute between Pristina and Belgrade over vehicle licence plates.

Namely, Pristina's interim authorities decided to implement reciprocal measures and demand the change of license plates from Serbia, as Kosovo's drivers had to do when crossing the border, replacing them with temporary Kosovo ones. This increased tensions in the north and caused concern among the locals.

As it is stated, the analysis of the latest attacks on Serbs in our southern province will be on the table, as well as the latest decision to remove license plates from Serbian cars by which the government of Albin Kurti brought Kosovo and Metohija to the brink of new conflicts.

He told the morning program of TV Prva that Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija are deeply upset because Pristina sent over 20 vehicles of special forces units, armed to the teeth. According to him, they are angry and are currently driving towards the administrative crossings of Jarinje and Brnjak.
