1,752 employees voluntarily leave civil service
1,430 employees at the central level and 322 at the local level applied for a public call for a consensual termination of employment with severance pay.
The heads of authorized bodies will decide on the requests of interested employees for a consensual termination of employment by September 30, 2019.

Labor minister signals dramatic changes in job market
Labor and Social Security Minister Süleyman Soylu has signaled a series of changes in the job market, from flexible working conditions to severance payments, in a press conference with economy reporters on Jan. 28.
Minister: Schools employ 1,000 more teachers than they need
Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Srdjan Verbic says there are "around 1,000 teachers more than Serbian schools need."
"They can count on severance payments, as there is now enough money in the budget," Verbic has been quoted as saying by Tanjug.
Employees urged to apply for severance
BELGRADE - Serbian Ministry of Economy urged on Thursday the managers and employees of 188 companies on the bankruptcy list to apply for severance pay, so they would be eligible for the funds from the government program dealing with the issue of surplus employees in companies undergoing privatization in 2015.
