Employees urged to apply for severance
BELGRADE - Serbian Ministry of Economy urged on Thursday the managers and employees of 188 companies on the bankruptcy list to apply for severance pay, so they would be eligible for the funds from the government program dealing with the issue of surplus employees in companies undergoing privatization in 2015.

BELGRADE - This year's Serbian government program to deal with the issue of surplus employees in the enterprises that should be privatized in processes led by the Privatization Agency, including 188 of them that will file for bankruptcy, has entered into force, the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia has said.

What is offered by proposed amendments to Labor Law?
BELGRADE – The draft amendments to the Serbian Labour Law, which will be presented before the members of the Serbian parliament on Tuesday and whose adoption is being opposed to by representative trade unions, provide that employees’ right to seniority-based financial compensation of 0.4 percent per year of service can only be exercised with their current employer.
