Seyhan mayor faces probe over using UN aid in campaign
Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into allegations that the mayor of Seyhan district in the southern province has used aid materials sent by the U.N. refuge agency for the survivors of the deadly earthquake last February in his election campaign.
3,821 buildings to be demolished in Adana
A total of 3,821 buildings have been found to be heavily and moderately damaged in the quake-hit southern province of Adana, and a decision has been taken to demolish these structures.
In the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes on Feb. 6, 13 buildings collapsed in Adana, where 418 people lost their lives.

Friends make barbeque on boat due to virus restrictions on land
Three friends made barbeques on a boat while cruising on the Seyhan Dam Lake in the southern province of Adana due to the coronavirus measures imposed in the nearby picnic area, disallowing to have barbeques.
According to Demirören News Agency, three friends, whose identities are unknown, came to the picnic area near the Seyhan Dam Lake to make a barbecue.

Deputy governor of Hatay province kills mother, brother
A deputy governor of the southern province of Hatay has shot his mother and brother dead in what is believed to be a family feud.
Tolga Polat killed his mother İkbal Polat and brother Altuğ Polat on Aug. 11 when the family gathered to discuss an inheritance sharing issue at their home in the Seyhan district of Adana province.
700,000 illegally produced face masks seized
Turkish security forces seized 700,000 face masks which were illegally produced and sold in southern Adana province, sources said on April 23.
Acting on a tip-off, provincial gendarmerie command teams carried out raids in three different locations in Seyhan and Cukurova districts, said the sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
