Tired Greeks lose on the road in the Euroleague

Exhausted from playing four games in under 10 days, Panathinaikos and Olympiakos suffered road defeats on Thursday and Friday, in Madrid and Istanbul respectively, for the Euroleague.

Holder Panathinaikos went down 90-86 at Real Madrid, though this loss was very different to that two days earlier at Paris basketball.

Turkish basketball team dismayed over playmaker Larkin's injury

Turkish basketball star Shane Larkin was removed from the national team squad for a shocking waist injury on June 23. 

In a statement, the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) said that Larkin, 28, was diagnosed with a relapsed herniated disc injury in the team's training camp when the Anadolu Efes playmaker point guard underwent medical examinations.

Larkin leads Anadolu Efes to overtime win over Baskonia

Shane Larkin had another impressive game in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague on April 1, leading Anadolu Efes to a 111-101 overtime victory against TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Larkin was dominant with a season-high 30 points, Krunoslav Simon added 21 for the Turkish side in the Round 33 matchup.

Anadolu Efes hammer Zalgiris for 7th straight win

Turkish basketball club Anadolu Efes got their seventh consecutive win in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season over the 89-62 victory against Lithuania's Zalgiris Kaunas on March 12. 

Anadolu Efes' playmaker guard Shane Larkin scored 18 points to lead his team to the Round 29 win in Istanbul. Larkin also had four steals.

Anadolu Efes upset Fenerbahçe in Istanbul derby

French forward Adrien Moerman carried Anadolu Efes to an 85-72 victory on Dec. 26's ING Basketball Super League.

Moerman was on fire in the week 14 opener at Istanbul's Sinan Erdem, producing 25 points and 15 rebounds.

Croatian guard Krunoslav Simon scored 15 points, five rebounds, and six assists, while U.S.-born Turkish guard Shane Larkin came off the bench to add 14 points

EuroLeague: Anadolu Efes' Larkin named MVP for sixth time

Turkey's Anadolu Efes superstar Shane Larkin earned the most valuable player (MVP) honor for the sixth time this season in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague on March 7.

"Shane Larkin re-wrote history books on Friday night while powering Anadolu Efes Istanbul to a 91-79 home win over Olympiacos Piraeus and earning, in the process, another MVP of the Round honor," EuroLeague said on March 7.

EuroLeague leader Anadolu Efes beat runner-up CSKA Moscow

Turkey's Anadolu Efes Istanbul stayed comfortably atop the standings after beating second-ranked CSKA Moscow 82-80 in a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game on Feb. 4.

With Anadolu Efes leading by two with just three second left, CSKA Moscow's Daniel Hackett failed to hit his second free throw, leading to his team's defeat.
