China’s first homegrown passenger jet makes maiden commercial flight
China's first domestically produced passenger jet, the C919, took off on its maiden commercial flight on Sunday, a milestone event in the nation's decades-long effort to compete with Western rivals in the air.
China Eastern Airlines flight MU9191 rose into the skies above Shanghai Hongqiao Airport just after 10:30 a.m., footage from state broadcaster CCTV showed.
Turkish Airlines to resume flights to US, China
Turkish Airlines will resume some international flights this month to China, South Korea and the United States among other destinations, the airline said on June 12, a day after it began restarting such services.

China's first large passenger jet prepares for its maiden flight
The C919, regarded as China's answer to the Boeing 737 and Airbus 320, is expected to make its maiden flight on May 5, according to the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC). It is China's first domestically-built large passenger jet.
The plane will take off from Shanghai's Pudong International Airport.
