Siege of Varaždin Barracks

Zagreb County Court on Monday acquitted former Yugoslav People's Army, JNA colonel Vladimir Davidovic of the shelling of the northern Croatian city of Varazdin in September 1991 after retrying him in absentia.

Former Yugoslav People’s Army general Vladimir Trifunovic, who was prosecuted for treason in Serbia and war crimes in Croatia, remained controversial for his dramatic withdrawal from Croatia in 1991.
