Many Greeks would rather spend the weekend abroad than in the countryside
Flights abroad for the long weekends of Clean Monday and Independence Day on March 25 are showing increased occupancy rates of over 75%.
For those departing this weekend from Athens, the most popular destinations are Oslo, Bologna, Geneva, Amsterdam and Lisbon, while those departing from Thessaloniki mainly travel to Frankfurt, Berlin, Larnaca, Munich and Dusseldorf.

Scandinavian airline SAS said yesterday it has filed for so-called Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in the United States, as a part of a restructuring plan, a day after pilots walked out on strike.

Scandinavian Air Pilot Strike is Over
Leadership management and trade union federations of pilots in Sweden, Norway and Denmark managed to agree on wage increases.
This year it will be 3.5%. In 2020, wages will increase by another three per cent, and by 2021 by four per cent. According to the SAS Executive Director, however, at least 24 hours will be required to normalize the flight schedule.

A Total of 3800 Flights Were Affected by SAS Pilots Strike
700 flights were canceled today, bringing the total number to 3800.
The pilots are dissatisfied with the working conditions they define as unbearable, as well as their unpredictable work schedules.
The strike hit over 340,000 passengers.
Passenger plane lands in Chania after bomb scare
A passenger plane made an emergency landing at Chania airport in western Crete on Thursday night amid reports that there might be a bomb aboard.
The Condor flight DE69 was flying from Egypt's Hurghada airport to Germany's Dusseldorf, when it diverted its course to land in Crete.

Airport in Burgas Still Closed After Plane Skid off Runway
After passenger plane was forced to make emergency landing at the airport in Burgas and then left the track earlier today, now the it is already pulled to a safe distance. An inspection by a technical team starts began. One of the versions of the incident is a technical malfunction, reported the Bulgarian National Television.
