Historical Istanbul mosque robbed by thieves
Plates in the domes of the 432-year historical Kılıç Ali Pasha Mosque in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district, designed by the famous Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan, have been stolen by thieves.
Taking advantage of the lockdown in the late hours of April 27, the suspects removed the plates on the domes and fled from the scene by loading the plates onto a car they brought with them.

Bosnia celebrates Turkish parliament's centenary
Bosnia and Herzegovina's historic Mostar Bridge was illuminated with the colors of the Turkish flag late on April 21 to mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Turkey's parliament.
"The Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey marks its 100th anniversary. We are celebrating with joy," the Turkish Consulate General in Mostar said in a statement.

Kos dusts itself off after deadly quake hits island
One of Greece's most popular islands, Kos, was trying to recover on Friday after a major earthquake struck at around 1.30 a.m., killing two people, injuring dozens and causing damage to the port.
Kos earthquake: Turkish victim identified as Sinan Kurtoglu
The name of the Turkish national killed in the earthquake on the island of Kos is Sinan Kurtoglu. According to Turkish media, the 39-year-old man was killed when the bar he was at in the old town of Kos collapsed. The other tourist that was killed was a 27-year-old Swede whose identity has not yet been confirmed. The Turkish man was identified by the Turkish Minister of Health.
