Slovenian double victory caps season finale
The ski jumping season ended on a high note for the Slovenian team as Timi Zajc led a one-two finish ahead of Anže Lanišek, who also won third place in the overall World Cup standings.

Author of giant hill in Planica dies aged 89
Janez Gorišek, a civil engineer who designed the giant hill in Planica in the late 1960s together with his older brother Vlado and is considered a pioneer of ski flying, has died aged 89.

Slovenia’s Klinec first woman ski jumper to surpass 200-metre mark
Slovenia's Ema Klinec has become the first woman ski jumper to surpass the 200-metre mark in an official competition, landing at 203 metres at the Vikersund ski flying hill in Norway during training on 18 March.
Lanišek third overall at Four Hills Tournament
Slovenia's best ski jumper this season, Anže Lanišek finished third in the 71st Four Hills Tournament to become only the fourth Slovenian to podium the prestigious German-Austrian Ski Jumping Week.

Ski jumper Zajc 6th on large hill at Beijing Olympics
Beijing – Slovenian ski jumper Timi Zajc finished 6th in the men’s individual event on the large hill at the Winter Olympics in Beijing on Saturday, as Norway’s Marius Lindvik won the gold medal. Three other Slovenians finished in the top 12 jumpers, setting up the stage for Monday’s team event in which Slovenia will be going for a medal.

Brdo pri Kranju – The Slovenian women’s ski jumping team, men’s basketball team, cross-country skier Anamarija Lampič and former para athlete and sports official Peter Ozmec are the recipients of the 2021 Bloudek Prizes, the highest national awards for current and lifetime achievements in sports.
Slovenian mixed ski jumping team wins gold at Beijing Olympics
Beijing – Slovenian ski jumpers Nika Križnar, Urša Bogataj, Timi Zajc and Peter Prevc won the gold medal in the mixed team normal hill event at the Winter Olympics on Monday to make history as the first nation to win the event in its Olympic premiere in Beijing.
The Program of the Bulgarian Athletes for the Games in Beijing
The Beijing Winter Olympics have officially opened, and Bulgarian participation begins on Saturday.
Nearly 3,000 athletes will take part in the games. The Bulgarian team is left without one of its competitors and will have 15 athletes. Ski runner Simeon Deyanov has not recovered from the coronavirus and will not travel to Beijing.
Ski jumper Lanišek with two second place finishes in World Cup
Titisee-Neustadt – Slovenia’s Anže Lanišek scored two second place finishes in the men’s Ski Jumping World Cup event in Germany’s Titisee-Neustadt on Saturday and Sunday, with German Karl Geiger outclassing him both times. This was the third podium finish for the 25-year-old in a row in the current season and the 11th career podium finish.
