Ice from Lake Cerknica, the largest intermittent lake in Europe, used to be exported all the way to Mumbai, India, but now the lake might eventually be left dry due to climate change. Water levels have been dropping for years, which increasingly affects the lake's ecosystem.

 A pilot project carried out as part of the EU-funded project Embracin has involved the local community and non-governmental organisations in the integration of refugees. The results show migrants in Slovenia have poor prospects for integration.

Hoče – Magna Steyr vice president Erwin Fandl and David Adam, director of the Slovenian Magna plant in Hoče, have informed representatives of the Slovenian government and local authorities that production in Hoče would be relaunched at the start of next year.

Hoče – The Environment Agency issued a preliminary environmental approval this week for an expansion of the factory of the automotive giant Magna near Maribor. The document has been sent to the planing authorities, while archaeologists are already inspecting the site.

A foundation stone was laid on the occasion, with representatives of the company promising the project's finalisation by the end of 2018.
