Sports associations urged to boycott events in Russia, Belarus
Ljubljana – The Slovenian Olympic Committee on Saturday called on all sports associations to refrain from participating in competitions organised in Russian and Belarus, after International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach called for a boycott of competitions in the two countries.

Brnik – The Slovenian men’s basketball team returned to the homeland on Sunday afternoon after winning the 4th place at the Summer Olympics. They were greeted at Ljubljana airport by some 500 fans and senior sport officials, who expressed gratitude for the unbelievable result for the team that made its Olympic debut in Tokyo.
The image of the legendary Slovenian athlete captured in a new silver coin
