The detention to the uncle of the mass murderer from Mladenovac has been extended

At the proposal of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, the court extended the custody of G.G., uncle of U.B., for another 30 days, who is suspected of killing eight and wounding 12 people in the vicinity of Mladenovac.
This was confirmed for Tanjug in the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office.

Woman arrested at Greek-Turkish border with heroin hidden in pillowcases

A woman was arrested on Thursday after officers at the Kipi Border Station in northeastern Greece found more than 9 kilograms of heroin hidden in her personal belongings.

The drugs were divided in 34 nylon packages and hidden in striped pillowcases in a suitcase placed in the trunk of a taxi, with which she attempted to enter from Turkey.

Türkiye becomes committee member against illicit trafficking

Türkiye has been elected as a member of the Subsidiary Committee of the Meeting of States Parties to the "UNESCO 1970 Convention," which is an international treaty to combat the illegal trade in cultural items.

Türkiye's membership in the committee will work to promote the protection of cultural assets and their return to their homelands.

Two people arrested for transporting heroin in Thessaloniki

Police officers in northern Greece arrested two people from drug trafficking on Tuesday night after discovering more than 12 kilos of heroin in their car.

The suspects, a 33-year-old foreign national, believed to be a leading member of a bigger drug ring, and a 27-year-old Greek woman, believed to be a member of the gang, where stopped at the Malgara toll station, near Thessaloniki.
