Italgas unveils 1 billion euro investment plan for Greece
Investments of 1 billion euros in Greece are foreseen in the strategic plan of Italgas for 2024-2030 through its subsidiary Enaon, it was announced on Monday.
The €1 billion, raised by €100 million compared to the previous plan, will be allocated to expanding the distribution network for natural gas, digitizing the distribution of networks, and penetrating regions not served yet.
Dozens of companies interested in Greek gas grid capacity
Greece has received interest from 27 US and European companies in booking future capacity in its gas grid, which would allow them to import and export gas to Europe via the country in the coming decades, grid operator DESFA said on Thursday.
Strong interest in DEPA Infrastructure
State sell-off fund TAIPED has recorded strong investor interest in the concession of DEPA Infrastructure, the Public Gas Corporation offshoot that includes only the utility's infrastructure and of which 65 percent belongs to the state and 35 percent to Hellenic Petroleum.
The fund expects at least seven to eight bidders in the first stage of the tender.

The Copelouzos energy group has gained a foothold in Greek gas grid operator DESFA through the acquisition of a minority stake in European consortium Senfluga.
Firms including MOL, Osaka, Gaslog, chosen in Cyprus FSRU LNG tender
Three joint ventures have been selected by Cyprus in the first stage of a tender to provide a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) to import liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The first joint venture is led by China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering, Natural Gas Public Company of Cyprus (DEFA) said on its website.
Snam's plans for the future of DESFA
Greek gas grid operator DESFA is of major strategic importance for the broader natural gas market, as its network runs along the Southern Gas Corridor to the heart of the European Union, where most new routes bringing the commodity to central European markets will pass, Marco Alvera tells Kathimerini.

Snam, Enagas and Fluxys are new DESFA stakeholders

Snam-led consortium wins DESFA tender
State sell-off fund TAIPED on Thursday opened the way for the consortium of Italy's Snam, Spain's Enagas and Belgium's Fluxys to acquire 66 percent of Greece's gas grid operator DESFA, thereby strengthening the southern Europe energy axis built around the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).
