Temperatures rise, snowfall reduced to 2.5 days
The average number of days with heavy snow in Türkiye was 28.4 days in the last 50 years, but the number has dropped to 2.5 days this year, experts stated.
Namık Kemal University Çorlu Engineering Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Lokman Hakan Tecer said that there has been a significant decrease in snowfall in Türkiye recently.

Code Orange for Strong Winds in 8 Regions of Bulgaria for Today
An orange code for stormy wind has been issued for today, March 28, by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) for 8 regions in the country.
The warning is for the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Lovech, Pazardjik, Plovdiv and Sliven, where wind gusts can reach over 100 km/h.

Today before noon it will be mostly sunny, but windy. A strong and gusty wind will blow from the south-southwest. After noon, the wind will shift from the northwest, at the latest in Eastern Bulgaria, and cold air will begin to invade with it, reports the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology.

Cloudy weather will prevail today, in many places with rain, in the Pre-Balkans and on the high western plains - with rain and snow. Rainfall will be significant in places, mainly in the eastern half of the country. The wind will be moderate, with a direction from the north-northeast, and colder air will invade with it.

As the Balkans winds have broken the warm winter spell in the country, Istanbul is likely to receive heavy snowfall on the weekend, meteorologists have said, adding that the Siberian cold wave will also hit the country as of Feb. 5.

Bulgaria: The Snow caused Problems in Mountain Passes, Yellow Code for Heavy Rain in 11 Regions
The heavy snowfall created problems in the passes in the Middle Stara Planina and the Rhodope mountains.
Restrictions on the movement of trucks have been imposed through the Troyan - Karnare, Rozhen, Prevala and Pechinsko passes in Smolyan region.
Snow reaches Serbia: "By the end of the week..."
"On Thursday, January 26, first in southeastern Serbia, and by the end of the day in other parts of Serbia, snow can be expected! A cold Koava wind will blow. The highest daily temperature will be from 0 to 4 degrees Celsius. From Friday, January 27, until Sunday afternoon, January 29, it will be snowing with minor interruptions!

Bulgaria: Orange Code for Snow in 4 Regions for Tomorrow
The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology announced an orange code for snowfall for tomorrow, January 26, for the regions of Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv and Smolyan. A yellow code has been issued for seven other districts in Western Bulgaria. For Kardjali, the code for snow and rain is also yellow, and for Haskovo, a yellow code for rain has been announced.
