National Assembly codifies same-sex marriage, adoption
Ljubljana – The National Assembly signed same-sex marriage and adoptions into law by passing changes to the family code by 48 votes in favour and 29 against on Tuesday, capping decades of efforts by LGBT+ groups and activists to end discrimination and be recognised as equal members of society.
Romania LGBT Activists Hail Constitutional Court Ruling
Romania's Constitutional Court ruled on Thursday that same-sex couples have the same equal rights to a private and family life as heterosexual couples - only a week before a referendum on prohibiting same-sex marriage is due on October 6- 7.
‘Comfort women’ deal is final, Abe tells Moon
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe restated Tokyo’s opposition to revising a 2015 agreement on “comfort women” in talks with South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Feb. 9, calling the deal a promise between nations and the basis of two-way ties.

Hermitage Museum treasures on view in Athens
El Greco's painting of the Apostles Peter and Paul is displayed at the Christian and Byzantine Museum in Athens as part of "The State Hermitage Museum: Gateway to History" exhibition, which opens to the public Tuesday. Running to February next year, the temporary display showcases 80 pieces from the Russian museum's permanent collections, including antiquities, paintings and sculptures.
