Bulgaria: Increase of Minimum Salary and Pensions from Today
From January first minimum salary is BGN 650 - increase with BGN 40. Salaries for government officials will be increased by 10%.
For the entire 2021, funds are planned to ensure a 30% increase from 1 August 2020 in the salaries of the administrations, which are charged with activities to control the pandemic and the consequences of COVID-19.
Parliament confirms latest stimulus law
Ljubljana, – The National Assembly passed in a 50:7 vote late on Tuesday the government’s latest economic stimulus package. Measures to help business and income support for households are valued at up to 600 million.

New economic stimulus package adopted, focus on income support and aid to companies
Ljubljana – The government adopted on Saturday a new economic stimulus package. Direct income support for groups including pensioners, students and those with the lowest wages is planned along with aid for companies. Finance Minister Andrej Šircelj said the package is estimated at around EUR 550 million.
End of early retirement in sight
Next year will see the closing of loopholes opened in the summer of 2015 and leading to the retirement of many workers on more favorable terms, before reaching the general retirement age of 67.

Average number of pensioners drops by 7,000 persons in Q3
The average number of pensioners was 5.125 million persons in the third quarter of 2020, decreasing by 7,000 persons over the previous quarter, and the average number of pensioners from social state insurance has reached 4.675 million persons, according to data of the National Institute for Statistics (INS) sent on Friday to AGERPRES.

All School Students of 1st and 8th Grades Eligible for One-off Aid of BGN 300 in 2021
All students enrolled in first and eighth grades will receive a one-off aid of BGN 300. This was decided by parliament at adopting texts of the State Budget Bill for the following year at second reading.
Denitsa Sacheva: 60/40 Wage Support Scheme will be Amended
The 60/40 wage support scheme used by the state to pay 60% of the social security contributions and 60% of the salaries will be amended and will continue from July 1 until September 30, Bulgaria's Minister of Labor and Social Policy Denitsa Sacheva said.
Significant raise for 236,000 auxiliary pensions
As of Tuesday, more than 236,000 pensioners will see their auxiliary pensions increased by an average of 75.47 euros, according to estimates by the Single Social Security Entity (EFKA).
The hikes only concern retirees who saw their auxiliary benefits reduced in the summer of 2016 per the so-called Katrougalos law because the sum of their main and auxiliary pensions exceeded €1,300.
