Around 40,000 people attended a concert at the Kallimarmaro Stadium in Athens on Friday in memory of the victims of the Tempe railway disaster.

A similar number followed the sold-out event, which was organized by the Tempi 2023 Association, online.

Folk-rock singer-songwriter Sokratis Malamas presents a program of his most popular tunes and personal favorites at the Seikh Sou Forest (Dasos) Theater on Wednesday, September 11. He will be joined on stage by vocalist Ioanna Karapataki, an artist with whom he has been working for the past two years, as well as a seven-member band.

The popular rebetiko musician Sokratis Malamas is on a summer tour. Malamas was taught how to play the bouzouki by his father. After spending some time working as a guitar teacher, he launched his professional career, which now spans three decades. Malamas has earned a dedicated fanbase for his albums, song adaptations and theatrical scores.

Launched in 2009, the Kalamata Street Festival endeavors to encourage artistic creativity and promote the urban spaces of the capital of the Messinia regional unit. In its 11th edition, the 2019 Kalamata Street Festival will provide spaces for artists to express themselves freely through painting, theater, music, dance and other art forms.
