Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan along with leaders of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) attended on Nov. 2 the official opening ceremony of the council's general secretariat building in Istanbul.
Kyrgyzstan orders Turkey’s Bayraktar TB2 drones
Kyrgyzstan's president said on Oct. 23 that his country will purchase unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) from both Turkey and Russia.
"We're not buying drones to go to war with someone. We will buy drones to ensure the country's security," Sadyr Japarov said in his first annual press conference in the capital Bishkek, after assuming the post at the beginning of 2021.

FETÖ threatens national security of Turkey, Kyrgyzstan: Erdoğan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on June 9 stressed the importance of the fight against the FETÖ by Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.
"Recent events have once again revealed the bloody, dark, and ugly face of FETÖ. I hope we will overcome this threat together by standing shoulder to shoulder," Erdoğan said at a joint news conference with his counterpart from Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.

At Least 37 Dead as Turkish Plane Crashes on Homes in Kyrgyzstan
A Turkish cargo plane has crashed on homes near Manas airport, officials say.
At least 37 people, six of them children, have died in the incident as the aircraft apparently failed to land.
Most of the crash victims are on the ground. The development occurred in a populated area some 25 north of the capital Bishkek.
More than a dozen buildings are left damaged.
