21 refugees dead, with more double tragedy in the Aegean Sea
Dramatic scenes were noted in the Aegean as 14 refugees lost their lives in a ship wreck between Kalolymnos and Kalymnos on Thursday night, whereas another three were dragged dead from the sea at dawn on Friday north of Rhodes.

4 dead refugees off coast of Kalymnos
Greek Coast Guard recovered the bodies of 4 refugees early in the morning off the coast of Kalymnos island. The victims were three children and one woman.
Authorities managed to rescue 11 refugees, while they continue to patrol the area for the one children still missing.

Ios municipality presents local products to Slovak professors of tourism
A group of 44 travel and tourism professors from Slovakia visited the island during September 26-18. They discussed with the island’s municipality the “possibility of a new cooperation in regards to school tourism”.
Antiquities from illegal excavation found in cave on Astypalea
Thirty seven antiquities from an illegal excavation were found and confiscated in Negros cave on the island of Astypalea during a police investigation.
The confiscated antiquities are dated back to the Late Neolithic Period, the Classical and the Hellenistic Era and the Late Antiquity.
