Swimming ban in Volos lifted
Authorities in the city of Volos have lifted a ban on swimming at beaches in the wider area, imposed after thousands of dead fish appeared along the coastline.
Volos Port Authority said swimming is now permitted at all beaches from Agrias, east of the city, to Agios Georgios Kynigon, in the west.

Thessaly authorities are nearing completion of cleanup efforts in the Pagasetic Gulf after removing nearly 280 tons of dead fish.
Vice-Governor Anna Maria Papadimitriou said the port, beaches and coastline around Volos have been cleared, and the area is returning to normal.

Historic Mt Pilio train resumes service
The iconic tourist trains of Pilio in central Greece will resume service on Friday on the route Ano Lechonia-Milies-Ano Lechonia on Mount Pilio, following the restoration of the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE) line, according to a Hellenic Train announcement.
It noted that in order to better serve Easter excursionists, the itineraries will also take place on Monday and Tuesday.

Newly wed Austrians feared missing in floods
Two Austrian newly weds are believed to be missing after the holiday accommodation they were staying in was swept away on Tuesday in the Pelion region.
The pair, said to be from the city of Graz, were staying in rooms in the seaside village of Potistika, along with another couple from Austria.

Death toll in Thessaly floods rises to three
An elderly man was found dead on Wednesday after being swept away in the area of Ellinopirgos at Karditsa, Thessaly, bringing to three the known number of fatalities caused by Storm Daniel.
The 82-year-old man was found unconscious underneath a car. He had been swept away by torrential rain and flooding after leaving his house.

Woman found dead amid severe rainstorm in Pelion
A woman was found dead near Paltsi, on the southeastern coast of Pelion in Magnisia, which was severely affected by the storm Daniel.
The 87-year-old woman had been reported missing for several hours.
She was discovered amidst a stack of wood. Eight firefighters were engaged in the operation to recover her body.
