Only slight chance of asteroid Bennu hitting Earth
An asteroid known as Bennu will pass within half the distance of the Earth to the Moon in the year 2135 but the probability of an impact with our planet in the coming centuries is very slight, scientists said on Aug. 11.

Super flower moon lights up skies
Skygazers across Turkey witnessed a spectacular astronomical phenomenon when Earth's satellite coinciding with a lunar eclipse bathed in blood-red shiny light on May 26.
The super flower moon was observed in the skies of Turkey's metropolitan city Istanbul and capital Ankara, and also appeared in a large number of other countries from Japan to the United States.

Watch Flower Super Moon Tonight
The next full moon, otherwise known as the Flower Moon, is set to grace our skies tonight, May 26, reaching its official peak at around 11:30 pm. It will also be the second supermoon of the year.
A full moon occurs every 29.5 days and happens when the Moon is completely illuminated by the Sun's rays. It occurs when the Earth is directly aligned between the Sun and the Moon.

May 26 Full Moon Will Appear More Spectacular Than Ever
This month's full moon will appear bigger, brighter and redder than usual, as the rare simultaneous occurrence of a supermoon and a lunar eclipse takes place in some parts of the world on 26 May.
