China Launches First Module of Its Space Station
China launched the first module of its "Heavenly Palace" space station on Thursday, a milestone in Beijing's ambitious plan to establish a permanent human presence in space.
Billions of dollars have been poured into space exploration as China seeks to reflect its rising global stature and growing technological might, following in the footsteps of the United States, Russia and Europe.

Two New Satellites in the Orbit
The European Vega missile was successfully brought into the orbit observation satellite Opps-3000 for the needs of the Italian Ministry of Defense, reports BNT.
The rocket launched on Tuesday from the Kuru spaceport in French Guiana. Besides the Italian apparatus, Vega should also bring Venus to a joint research project between Israel and France.

Swiss Space Systems Opens Croatian Unit
Swiss Space Systems (S3) said it has inaugurated a subsidiary in Croatia as part of its expansion in Europe.
Zagreb-based Swiss Space Systems Croatia will play an important role in different parts of the S3 program, S3 said in a statement.
The first activities of S3 Croatia will be the ZeroG flights, to take place in Croatia in the first half of next year.
