Türkiye's second astronaut completes suborbital mission
Türkiye's second astronaut, Tuva Cihangir Atasever, achieved a significant milestone on June 8 by successfully completing a suborbital research flight aboard Virgin Galactic's VSS Unity.
This marks another achievement for Türkiye in the field of space exploration, following the earlier success of astronaut Alper Gezeravcı's mission to the International Space Station (ISS).
Virgin Galactic rockets first tourist passengers into space
Virgin Galactic launched its first tourist passengers into the weightlessness of space Thursday, the culmination of a nearly two-decade commercial pursuit, the company said.
The three passengers -- Jon Goodwin, Keisha Schahaff, and her teenage daughter Anastatia Mayers - floated gravity-free through the Virgin spacecraft about 45 minutes after taking off.
Virgin Galactic resumes spaceflights after two year pause
Virgin Galactic successfully carried out its first spaceflight in nearly two years on May 25 , the company said, after an "enhancement period" to make safety upgrades to its fleet.

Space tourism no longer looks that far. At this point, 573 is the number of people who flied into the space, but projections suggest that it will increase many times over. Over time, it seems more and more realistic that not only the wealthiest will be able to live out what has been reserved for seriously trained astronauts for decades.

Virgin Galactic spaceship makes first glide flight
Virgin Galactic's new spaceship has made a successful first glide flight, a key step after a deadly crash of its predecessor two years ago, the spaceflight company said on Dec. 3.
The new SpaceShipTwo, dubbed VSS Unity, was hoisted aloft by carrier airplane WhiteKnightTwo VMS Eve from the Mojave Air & Space Port in California, the company said on Twitter.
