Spanish transition to democracy

Is Greece's transition to democracy, a historical process known as the "Metapolitefsi," complete? What are the legacies and hangups left behind, 50 years after the collapse of the military dictatorship? The debate on these and many more questions has started, and it needs to carry on, if for no other reason than to separate myth from reality.

Has the Metapolitefsi period concluded? What lessons does it impart? Is its overall legacy positive? These are they key questions that guided the discussions on the inaugural day of the conference titled "50 Years of the Metapolitefsi."

Spanish police have detained a man who carried out attacks with cold weapons in several churches in Algeciras in the south of the country, "El Pais" reported.
