Parliament to convene on May 28
The Parliament elected in Greece's May 21 election will convene on May 28, four days than originally scheduled.
Following a government proposal, President Katerina Sakellaropoulou published a decree convening the Parliament for Sunday, May 28, instead of June 1.
The newly elected MPs will be sworn in at 6 pm Sunday and will elect the speaker at 10.30 pm on Monday.

Themis Cheimaras, a Fthiotida MP, announced his resignation in a letter to House Speaker Kostantinos Tasoulas on Wednesday.

Bulgaria’s Parliament Set to Shut
With 115 votes in favour and 65 against, MPs on March 26 accepted the proposal of the Parliament's Speaker, Tsveta Karayancheva, to temporarily suspend sittings. The measure is part of government efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Sittings will only be convened when emergency laws are adopted. Parliamentary questions time will be in writing.

The UK Parliament announced its suspension at midnight, 25 days before the upcoming elections.
The dissolution of Parliament means that the House of Commons and the House of Lords cease to exist. The new House of Commons will be elected on December 12, while the Lords will retain their positions.
