Michael Jordan sneakers fetch auction record $2.2 mln
A pair of sneakers worn by NBA superstar Michael Jordan sold for $2.2 million on April 11, setting a record price at auction for game-worn sports footwear, Sotheby's announced.
The basketball great wore the "Bred" Air Jordan 13s during Game 2 of the 1998 NBA Finals on the way to his sixth and last NBA championship title.

A jersey worn by basketball legend Michael Jordan during Game 1 of the 1998 NBA Finals, his last title victory, sold for a record $10.1 million on Sept. 15, Sotheby's said.

Michael Jordan ‘Last Dance’ jersey to be auctioned
A jersey worn by basketball legend Michael Jordan during Game 1 of the 1998 NBA Finals, his last title victory, is set to be auctioned off in September for an estimated $3-5 million, Sotheby's announced Wednesday.
The iconic red Chicago Bulls jersey, with Jordan's number 23 on the back, is only the second worn by the star during his six championships to be sold at auction.
