Cyprus to prepare three-stage coronavirus exit strategy
Cyprus' cabinet on Wednesday approved the island's lockdown exit strategy, which foresees the resumption of the operation of vital sectors of the economy in early May.
Speaking after the cabinet meeting, Finance Minister Constantinos Petrides said the exit plan consists of three stages, which extend until the end of 2021.
Greek soccer assessing impact of coronavirus says league chief
Greek soccer will know later this month the extent of some of the damage to the game caused by the coronavirus outbreak, Super League president Minas Lysandrou said, after clubs this week set up a working group to chart the impact and plan for the future.
The Super League has suspended play until at least April 24 with the country in complete lockdown.
Reviving polarization
Political confrontation will not contain the pandemic.
The opposition has a duty to criticize government errors, even in the middle of a crisis. Slinging barbs and blanket accusations as the death toll rises is tantamount to political hooliganism. It is an a priori failed attempt to revive a division that cost the country dearly during the financial crisis.

Auctions growing in numbers by the month
September was a record month for auctions and the last quarter of the year points to a further expansion, as 6,425 auctions are scheduled, according to Axia Ventures Group.
After a long period of inactivity due to the elections and the summer lull, auctions returned in September with 3,195 having been scheduled for the month, up 18 percent annually.

Some of the best examples of artwork from the Islamic world, including a portrait of the great Ottoman Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent, will go under the hammer at Britain's famous auction house Sotheby's on May 1.
The collection titled "Arts of the Islamic World" has 311 pieces that will find new owners in the auction to be held on May 1.

Management consultants optimistic about economy
The optimism of management consultants on the medium-term prospects of the Greek economy continued in the first quarter of the year, as the GRe+1 Barometer of the Hellenic Association of Management Consulting Firms (SESMA) showed a 24 percent reading in Q1, up from the 22.5 percent recorded in the last quarter of 2018 and 17.5 percent in Q1 last year.
