Breakdance makes Olympics debut

It began in the Bronx in the 70s as a dance form of hip-hop culture and is now making its Olympic debut in Paris. Greece may not be represented at this year's breakdance event, but it has potential for the future. "In breaking there are no rules and scores, there is absolute freedom," young dancer Elli Anastasiou says.

Üstünel to represent Turkey at international dance competition

Akay Üstünel emerged victorious at the Red Bull Dance Your Style Turkey Final held on July 4 in Istanbul's Beylikdüzü Yaşam Valley, defeating 16 of some of the top street dance names in the country.

The dancers participating in the competition have performed one by one to be the name that will take place in the world final.

Dancers without borders take stage amid pandemic

A group of artists in the Aegean province of İzmir has implemented a street dance project with the slogan "dance knows no borders and no place" amid the pandemic period.

Coming together for the project held as part of April 29, World Dance Day, they danced in the city's squares, parks, bazaars and side streets.
