Turkish tourism sector player named vice president of UFTAA
Çetin Gürcün, secretary-general of the Turkish Travel Agencies Association (TÜRSAB), has been elected vice president of the United Federation of Travel Agents’ Association (UFTAA) at the organization’s general assembly meeting.
Unemployment shows no improvement in November
Greece's jobless rate was steady at 20.9 percent in November, unchanged from an upwardly revised figure in October, the country's statistics service ELSTAT said on Thursday.
Seasonally adjusted data showed the number of unemployed at 995,899 people, with younger persons aged up to 24 bearing the brunt of being out of work.

Consumer Confidence Slightly Up in Past 3 Months
A regular three-month survey by Bulgaria's National Statistical Institute (NSI) has found that consumer confidence in January 2018 was 1.1 percentage points higher than in October.
The rise was due entirely to increased confidence among the urban population, the NSI said on February 7.

The EP has Made it Easier to Shop Online in Europe
The European Parliament has voted to remove the blocking of online trade based on geographic principle in Europe. Restrictions, also known as geoblocking, remain for audiovisual products and services as well as for transport services. This was decided by the MEPs who voted a 27-nation regulation on the issue.
