Lot 2 of Bulgaria's Struma Motorway to Be Launched by End of October

The traffic on lot 2 of the Struma motorway between the Bulgarian towns of Dupnitsa and Blagoevgrad, will be launched by the end of October.

This was announced by Bulgarian Regional Minister Lilyana Pavlova, who inspected the construction works on the section of the motorway on Sunday.

Lot 4 of Bulgaria's Struma Motorway Opens for Traffic on July 31

The Struma motorway section between Sandanski and Kulata is to open for traffic after 6 p.m. on Friday.

The 14,7-kilometer motorway section will be inspected by Regional Development Minister Lilyana Pavlova and Lazar Lazarov, Chair of the Management Board of Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency.

Two Bulgarian Ministers to Inspect Construction of Struma Motorway

Minister of Regional Development Lilyana Pavlova and Transport Minister Ivaylo Moskovski will inspect the progress of the construction of Struma motorway on Saturday.

There are two segments in the 55-kilometer construction - one connects Dupnitsa and Blagoevgrad and the other, called lot 4 - Sandanski and the border with Greece at Kulata.

Toll Fee for Cars on Bulgarian Motorways to Amount to BGN 0.10/km

Bulgarian Regional Development Minister Lilyana Pavlova has informed that the motorway toll for cars will amount to around BGN 0.10 per kilometer.

In a Wednesday interview for Nova TV, Pavlova noted that traffic analyses were yet to be conducted, with the estimates to be ready by the end of the year.

New Deadline for Completion of Struma Motorway's Lot 4 Announced

Lot 4 of Struma Motorway between the Bulgarian town of Sandanski and the border checkpoint Kulata should be completed until July 31 within the framework of the available budget.

This is foreseen by the annex to the construction contract signed between Bulgaria's Road Infrastructure Agency (API) and the Greek company Aktor on 23 December 2014, electronic daily Dnevnik reports.
