Nissan recalling more than 236,000 cars
Nissan is recalling more than 236,000 small cars in the U.S. because the tie rods in front suspension can bend and break, possibly causing drivers to lose steering control.
The recall covers certain Sentra compact cars from the 2020 through 2022 model years.
Tie rods help vehicles move the wheels for steering.

Honda’s profits double on healthy global sales
Honda reported yesterday that its April-June profit more than doubled on healthy sales of its motorcycles and cars, as the Japanese company also received a perk from favorable exchange rates.
Honda Motor Co. said its fiscal first quarter profit totaled 363 billion yen ($2.5 billion), up from 149 billion yen.

Mitsubishi to cross-produce with Renault in Turkey
Mitsubishi Motors will bolster its line-up in Europe through locally producing the new Colt model in Renault Group plants in the northwestern province of Bursa on the horizon of 2023.
Dialing up the alliance with the carmaker Mitsubishi, Renault Group announced a win-win strategy on April 5.

PSD's Ciolacu: I've ordered an electric Dacia for the party, from levies
The chairman of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), Marcel Ciolacu, declared on Friday that he ordered for the party a Dacia electric vehicle and will try to acquire one such vehicle for each of the party's branches. Revoz to relaunch production next Wednesday
Novo Mesto – The production at Renault-owned assembly plant Revoz, which was suspended this week as a supplier of insulation components had to stop deliveries due to a massive fire, will be relaunched next Wednesday. Components will be delivered from Spain, where Treves managed to transfer a part of its production.

Competition authority approves share transfer of Hyundai Assan
The Turkish competition authority has approved the sale of 30 percent shares of Hyundai Assan from Turkey's Kibar Holding to Hyundai Motor.
The South Korean automotive giant, the world's fifth-biggest auto group, was already holding 70 percent of stocks in the Turkish automotive company.
ACAROM: National car production grows 7.71 pct in February and exceeds 48,000 units
Over 48,000 cars were produced in Romania in February this year, showing an increase of 7.71 pct, compared to the same period of 2019, reveal the statistics published by the Association of Automobile Manufacturers of Romania (ACAROM).
Honda to end Turkey production after 2021
Honda has decided to end car production in Turkey following completion of the production of its current Civic Sedan model in 2021, the company said in a statement on April 8.
