Subdivisions of Azerbaijan

The preparations of the troops to be dispatched to Azerbaijan have been completed after a motion for the deployment was passed at the parliament, the Turkish Defense Ministry has said.

Turkey will always continue to support Azerbaijan as it has in the past, Turkey's presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalın said late on Aug. 14. 

Kalın appeared on a television program on Azerbaijan state television via the internet to evaluate Turkey-Azerbaijan relations.

Turkey has said it will continue to stand with Azerbaijan in its ongoing dispute with Armenia, calling the latter to cease disruptive and destabilizing policies in the south Caucasus.

Turkey on March 30 called Armenia's attempt to hold elections in the occupied Upper Karabakh region "a flagrant violation of international law."

Azerbaijan's president on Feb. 15 said the Upper Karabakh issue cannot be resolved in a day and there is a need to resolve the conflict in phases.

The visit of the Bulgarian MPs Valeri Simeonov and Yordan Apostolov to the occupied territory of Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh and their meeting there with representatives of the illegal separatist regime is a direct violation of international law, Azerbaijani MP from the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Elman Nasirov told Trend.

Ambassador of Armenia to Romania Sergey Minasyan states in an interview granted to AGERPRES that, in his opinion, the Armenian community in Romania enjoys a "privileged position" and is integrated within the society, the Romanian people's tolerance can set "a good example for many other countries."

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım on March 14 called on the international community to exert pressure on Armenia to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
